Calendar v1.0.7 Event Alerts are not being sent at correct timeframes

Have received multiple reports that event alerts are not being sent at correct timeframes.

Event was created yesterday and is 13 days from now. Two going RSVP's (including event owner/author) have reported they received an alert "event is starting soon" just a few hours ago...
