Calendar 1.0.0 - Create and Edit Event - Time defaults to past

This is still an issue in v1.0.0 and hasn't been fixed, despite above thread having been moved to Resolved.

Also, when editing the event, the Event Times are automatically changed back to UTC time.

This turned out to be some weirdness in PHP's handling of time and manifesting as the previous issue.
