Escalations should be a lot simpler now. There are two parts to them- the criteria and the update actions. Every hour or whenever a ticket is replied to, the escalations will come along and check the tickets (or the ticket that was just replied to) and see if it matches the criteria.
If there's a match, the update actions are triggered.
