Tickets Not a Bug Tickets menu item is not active when inside the knowledge base

This one isn't a bug. You should have a knowledge base tab out of the box which would be the active tab. Perhaps you've disabled it?
 
Ah gotcha. No, it doesn't look like it does and seems to be a bit of a quirk in the core.

You can reproduce it with any core top-level tab. For example, I stuck the "What's new" tab under the "Forums" tab and got the same result.
 
Mhmm, sounds like it, then. Should I report it on the XF forums because I quite clearly consider this to be a bug - or do you want to / can you open one?
