Calendar's pre-sales questions

I see calendar is updated in products list.

Just a few things that I want to know if exist in the add-on? and if not, is there plan/ETA for them?
  • Comment system like bob's add-ons (even in those add-on we don't use associated thread and we use comment)
  • rate and review system like bob's add-ons
  • pick location on map, instead of writing address (like Nobita's social group's event map. you can pin the location on the map and you don't need to write the exact address. by pinning on map its easily and more accurate to pin the location you want. and in our language, using address fields is totally useless, cause google doesn't respect it yet.)
  • ability to set an event as public or private (private events are not viewable/accessible by others and creator can invite people to them)
  • adding minute to start and end time of event
Thanks

This is planned. There's some code in the add-on already for this.

Also planned.

I'd have to look in to this but should be easy.

Planned, almost done.
adding minute to start and end time of event
Built in to the add-on already. :)

Could you give us an update what your plans with the calendar AddOn is? I've to admit i'm a little bit dissapointed about the progress so far. But maybe that's just because i'm so spoiled by Bob. :D

I haven’t had much of a chance to release beta 2. Give me a little bit. :)

I saw many updates on the Calendar product page. very good! :D

I really need a calendar addon and I would like to get an early adopter license but I would like to know if you are going to implement an export feature for each calendar an not only for the single events.

1. For example: for each calendar, a link to a dynamically* created ICS/XML file that includes all the events from that specific calendar.

* cached every xx minutes to not stress the db server

In this way, users can connect their smartphone calendars to that link and have a specific calendar synced every time someone adds/delete/edit events.

2. Is it possible to comment or create a thread linked to the event?
3. Is it possible to have the List view as a linkable page?

It's planned, I'm still fine-tuning some of the core event functionality but allowing calendars to sync with external apps is on the cards.

You can have linked threads and comments are being worked on.
3. Is it possible to have the List view as a linkable page?
Not yet, but it's a reasonable suggestion I can look in to.

Would it be possible to link a countdown to a calendar event. Maybe a checkbox on the event to set it to the countdown.
If multiple events set for countdown, it would display the closest one?

I see that there's a Location field but on the event page there's no map.
Plus if I download the ICS and import it into a calendar client the location is there but is not recognized (the client don't display the map).

I didn't have the mapping stuff enabled. I've enabled it now so you can see what it looks like.

Thank you!

I suggest to put the article into a div so it will be easier to display article and map side by side.

There’s more than one location, you can display it in the header or the sidebar for instance.
