Calendar "New" Indication Worked only once...

After install I had one event indicated as "new". Then I created three new events and they were not indicated as "new"... Could it be that you only show events as "new" if the user has logged out and then logged in but not if someone creates events while the other user is logged in? This seems to be not consistent...
