Calendar No way to go to next month

I have selected Month View basic. The previous/next button still have a 'today' button inbetween. i would expect a button with the current month on it. The next/previous button do not affect what I am looking at. I would expect that it would allow me to go to the previous/next month.

I do not see any way to go to the next month.

It kinda works now but wonky. I just got it to go to the next month for two clicks. Then no response for some clicks and after some time it processes all clicks. The console does not display any errors.
I guess its caused by the birthdays bug, because with each load it needs to load thousands of birthdays.
